Our talented U14s marched into the Hampshire County Cup Final with an impressive victory today.
Running out 2-0 winners over current Cup holders Fareham, who are also the reigning Saturday JPL National Champions, the team held their composure to grab the win.
With ten minutes to go with the game at 0-0, the young Dolphins scored two goals in the space of a minute thanks to Ryan Lay and Jacob Carter-Musleh. A penalty was awarded to Fareham with five minutes to go and up stepped Taylan Blacker to pull off a great save to keep a clean sheet.
Manager Alan Lay told the Club how proud he was of the team. He said the lads and parents fully deserve it for their attitudes on and off the pitch. He also praised his opponents for helping to create a fantastic game.
Team Secretary, Tracy Woodrow was over the moon with result again crediting the group as a whole.
Well done to this great team who now await to see who they will play in the Final on May 25th.
